Waterside Cottage is a charming seaside retreat located in the picturesque De Kelders, offering breathtaking ocean views and direct access to the famous De Kelders cliff path. This spacious home features four bedrooms and four bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests, making it perfect for families or groups of friends.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or an adventure-filled holiday, Waterside Cottage is the perfect base for exploring the stunning coastline of De Kelders.


BEDROOMS LAYOUT

Stay warm and cozy – all four bedrooms are fitted with electric blankets and heaters. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom with both a bath and a shower. The other three bedrooms each have queen-size beds and their own en-suite bathrooms, equipped with a shower, toilet, and basin, ensuring privacy and comfort for all guests. In addition to the en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom, there is also a convenient guest bathroom available for visitors.


UNIT LAYOUT

The fully equipped kitchen comes with modern appliances, including a gas stove, washer, dryer, and dishwasher, making meal preparation and cleanup a breeze. The cozy living area features a television with DStv, and guests can enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi throughout the house. For those who love outdoor cooking, the property offers both a built-in braai and a gas braai, while the indoor fireplace adds a warm ambiance on chilly winter nights. The deck provides excellent whale-watching opportunities, offering a front-row seat to the area's natural beauty. Please note that there are a few stairs outside the front door.

Three new air conditioners have been added to the house. One in the living area and in two of the bedrooms, ensuring a cool and comfortable stay throughout.

GENERAL

Please note that there are a few stairs outside the front door.

Beach towels are provided for guest use, and the property is well-secured with CCTV, an alarm system, and armed response for added peace of mind.

Refuse bags will be collected on Tuesdays. Please ensure they are placed outside by 08:30 to prevent a buildup of bags in front of the property.


LOADSHEDDING

The home is not equipped with a backup power source.

Don't forget this is a self-catering home and we will only stock essentials on arrival, like dishwashing liquid.

AREA
De Kelders lies on the shores of Walker Bay - renowned as the home of the Southern Right Whale. Some of the best land-based whale watching in the world is the major attraction of De Kelders and whales come to within metres of the rocks that line the edges of kelp beds along the De Kelders coastline.

The De Kelders cave is the only freshwater cave next to the coast of Africa, which has been changed into a swimming place. There are many restaurants on offer to suit every visitors budget - seafood is the speciality.
